The Austrian representative gave us part of his time before his presentation in Rotterdam, this is what he told us:

Hello Vincent it is a pleasure for us to speak with you, thank you for your time and congratulations on being chosen internally to represent Austria and perform “Alive” in Rotterdam.

For the Eurofans in Latin America (and beyond), here we go…

OGAERLA:  If we tell you “Music”… what words comes to your mind
Vincent: passion

OGAERLA: In three words, define you as a musician and person?
Vincent: Hard working, passionate, positive

OGAERLA:  What does Vincent Bueno represent in the music industry?
Vincent: Performance and entertainment

OGAERLA:  What musical genres do you identify with and which artists inspire you?
Vincent: RnB, Pop, Funk; Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake

OGAERLA: Since childhood, music has been part of your life, dancing and playing various instruments, who has been your bigger support all this time?
Vincent: My family

OGAERLA: What is the key to keep “alive”in music industry?
Vincent: Keep working hard and one day, it will be all worth it

OGAERLA:  Musical! Die Show opened you the doors to show business in 2008. How did you live that experience and what did it bring to your life?
Vincent: It was an unforgettable experience for me to win the show. I learned to stay humble and work on my dreams.

OGAERLA:  In 2016 you participated in the Austrian preselection for Eurovision with the song “All We Need Is That Love”, what do you remember of that process?
Vincent: I was honoured to be in the pre-selections at that time.

OGAERLA:  if they had offered you this year to participate in a new preselection, would you have accepted?
Vincent: I probably would have done it.

OGAERLA:  It was announced last year that you were chosen internally to represent Austria at Eurovision 2020, how this opportunity came to you?
Vincent: I was asked to send in a song and they internally decided to send me this time.

OGAERLA: What was the first thing you thought when you were chosen?
Vincent: Unbelievable

OGAERLA: Have you received any advice from some previous Austrian representatives?
Vincent: Yes, from my friend Nathan Trent.

OGAERLA: Eurovision: has the idea to perform in that stage been in your mind before? or this came recently?
Vincent: Yes, I wished to stand on that stage on day representing Austria.

OGAERLA: What story is behind the lyrics of “Alive”?
Vincent: When I wrote the lyrics, I was thinking to deliver a positive message to the Eurovision Song Contest. I believed that nowadays we as human beings can only be alive, when we let go of our ego.

OGAERLA: Tell us about the message that you want to deliver in 3 minutes to millions of viewers all over the planet.
Vincent: We can be alive again, when we let go of our ego.

OGAERLA: If you can be one of the previous Austrian artist in Eurovision, which one you would choose and which song?
Vincent: Merci Cherie, Udo Jürgens

OGAERLA: Eurovision has a large number of fans in Latin America. Have you visited any of our countries?
Vincent: Unfortunately, not yet

OGAERLA: How much do you know about latin genres or artist?
Vincent: I know Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias and many more. They are super talented and I have huge respect for them

OGAERLA: Any plan to bring your music to the Latin countries?
Vincent: I would love to do it one day!

OGAERLA: What Latin artists would you like to collaborate with (in spanish?… why not?)
Vincent: Jennifer Lopez
