Hello Victor, it is for us a real pleasure to speak with you and get to know a little more about your history and your participation in Eurovision so, for all the ESC fans in Latin America tell us:

OGAERLA:  Tell us about your beginnings to nowadays in the music industry?

V.C: I began playing guitar at a young age, but I got in the music business at the age of eighteen. I then started writing music for an album that was going to be recorded in Capitol records in Los Angeles. I had writing trips to Nashville, New York, Stockholm, Los Angeles. The album was recorded but never released. After that I have continued to write songs to myself and other artists.

OGAERLA: Which is your style of music and how do you define yourself in 3 words?

V.C: I don’t really have ONE style, but I guess if I really have to choose, pop.

OGAERLA:  You became known thanks to your participation in the Melodifestivalen 2015 with the song “Det Rår Vi Inte För” What do you remember about this experience?

V.C: It was a great experience, but I wasn’t really prepared for it I guess. I think I didnt feel so good at that time. It’s a completely different thing this time.

OGAERLA: What’s next in your musical career after Eurovision?

V.C: I’m writing songs for an album, really excited about that. I also have a few collabs with djs.

OGAERLA:  This year it was announced that you would participate in the Eesti Laul of Estonia, what led you to play this door rather than the Melodifestivalen?

V.C: I’ve been in Estonia a lot the past 2,5-3 years. I met with Stig Rästa and we have been writing songs together for me and other acts/artists since. Storm was written by me and estonian writers, so it was a obvious choice to do it in Eesti laul.

OGAERLA: Has Eurovision always been a dream for you or just a window for your music to be more known?

V.C: I’ve been following eurovision since a very young age. And I think it is an amazing platform for artists of all kinds to be seen. I think that is the greatest thing about Eurovision. And bringing people together from all over the world, I’m really looking forward to it!

OGAERLA: You were one of the favorites since the beginning of Eesti Laul, was it a bigger pressure?

V.C: No, I knew that I had a good chance, but I tried to stay away as much as possible of the predictions.

OGAERLA: What did you feel when you were mentioned as the winner? Do you remember your thoughts at that moment?

V.C: I don’t remember much, just that I was extremely happy and people all around were cheering. It was overwhelming.

OGAERLA: You will be performing “Storm” in Tel Aviv, What story is behind this proposal and what is the message with your song?

V.C: Like in every song it’s up to the listener. But for me it appeals to so many subjects. From love, depression, hate etc. Whatever you might be going through there is always an ending and a “new start”.  A reminder to don’t get too caught up, I see the song to be optimistic, a reminder to live life.

OGAERLA: Stig Rasta, who is already well-known and well-liked for representing Estonia in 2015, is one of the composers of your song. How has working with him been?

V.C: He is such a talented musician and good guy. Im fortunate to have him as a friend!

OGAERLA: Any advice from Stig Rasta for your performance in Tel Aviv?

V.C: Enjoy, dont go crazy.

Victor Crone and Stig Rasta.

OGAERLA: Will there be changes in the song? How would you like your staging on the Eurovision?

V.C: There will be changes, can’t say what though 😉

OGAERLA: Do you have any favorite performances from Sweden and Estonia in ESC?

V.C: There are plenty, but Stig Rästa and Elina born – goodbye to yesterday. Last year winner Elina. Sweden: Loreen, Måns to name a few.

OGAERLA: Let us tell you that Eurovision has a large number of fans in Latin America, have you visited any of our countries?

V.C: Unfortunately, no but I really hope that I’m going to be able to visit some after Eurovision.

OGAERLA: Any plan to bring your music to our continent?

V.C: YES!

OGAERLA:  A final message to the people who are reading this interview in Latin America and beyond?

V.C: Thanks for letting me have a word and take care! Hope to see you in Tel aviv
